Jake Dixon continued to bed back in with Aspar during two days of private Moto2 testing at Jerez this week.
The Brit, who returned to his 2019 team after Petronas disbanded at the close of 2021, was running strongly in the top ten on both days at the Angel Nieto Circuit, recording a best time of 1’42.087 after racking up 123 laps on the GasGas machine.
Pleased with the progress made so far, Dixon is ready for official testing at Portimao this weekend and confident further steps can be made ahead of the season start in a fortnight’s time.
“Day two done in Jerez testing and it's been another productive day,” Dixon said ahead of travelling to Portugal. “We worked through some stuff today and I felt a little bit more up to speed. I still don't feel like I'm riding at my full potential but I'm starting to find the way, step by step.
“I need more time but I'm really, really happy with the way that things are going and with the way that the team are working with me. I'm ready to keep continuing working on myself because the biggest difference I'll find is from me, and I know there's more time to come yet.”
