Ahead of his Moto3 debut this season Guido Pini has fractured both of his legs in a training accident.
Guido Pini is moving to the Moto3 World Championship this season with the IntactGP Team. However, the young Italian has suffered devastating injuries ahead of the new season.
After a heavy crash, Pini will be out of action for the foreseeable future. The 16-year-old was taking part in off-road training with his mentor and manager, Emilio Alzamora. In the incident, Pini fractured both of his legs.
The first 2025 Moto3 World Championship test is on the 10th of February at Portimao, before a second test in Jerez soon after. It is currently unknown whether Pini will be able to take part in his first Moto3 tests with IntactGP.
From his junior career, it seems like the 16-year-old could be an injury-prone prospect. Throughout the 2024 season, he picked up three serious injuries throughout his Red Bull Rookie and JuniorGP seasons.
In March, he broke his right scaphoid bone and his right radius; a month later, he broke his left elbow, which meant a long absence from racing. In June, he broke the radius in his right arm again.
