MotoGP Aragon: Dixon back on the front row, ‘fast lap not my strongest’

Jake Dixon completed a stellar day for Shimoku GasGas Aspar by joining teammate Albert Arenas on the Moto2 front row at Aragon.

His fifth front row start of the season, and first since the summer break, Dixon lines up third for Sunday’s 21-lap Motorland race after setting a 1’52.179, just over a quarter of a second away from Augusto Fernandez on pole.

“The qualifying session went well, we made it on the front row for the race tomorrow!” Dixon confirmed. “I missed a slipstream on the back straight, up to that point I think it was a good lap. I worked on my own, without thinking about the others.

“The fast lap is not my strongest point, but we are still learning and improving and we are ready for tomorrow."
