Scotland’s John McPhee has signed a deal to remain with the Saxoprint-RTG Moto3 team for 2015 and will be tasked with regular podium finishes by team boss Dirk Heidolf.

The Oban rider, who is backed by Racing Steps Foundation, has been a regular top-five finisher this season but now needs to take it to the next level and is hoping for a maiden podium before the season finale at Valencia.

"I'm delighted to be continuing with the team and Honda next year thanks to continued backing and support from the Foundation,” said McPhee

"Together with SaxoPrint-RTG I've been able to make big strides forward this year. And clearly the aim is to continue that progression between now and the end of the season at Valencia in November.

"While the target is regular top three finishes next year you can rest assured I'll be doing my level best to land my maiden podium before this season is out."
