Gino Rea again struggled with the ‘same old chatter problem’ in the Motorland Aragon Moto2 encounter but team boss Fausto Gresini appears to be skeptical about the young Londoner’s difficulties.
Rea was a front-runner in the wet practice sessions but as soon as the track dried out, he said the chatter that has been plaguing him returned: “I finished the race in the same position I started from and I'm not happy with that. Unfortunately I really struggled with the same old chatter problems and I couldn't ride the bike like I wanted. I'm disappointed because after seeing our pace in the wet here at Aragon I thought we could come away with a result.”
Gresini, however, isn’t convinced: “Gino is so strong in the wet, up there with the very best, but when the track is dry he just can't find the same level of competitiveness. The technicians will analyse the chatter problem and, if it exists, try to solve it in the next races.”
