Pull&Bear Ducati’s Karel Abraham is hoping to prove the world wrong at the Argentine MotoGP round today and justify his place in the Aspar-run team after bagging a front-row start.
The Czech rider feels he has been unfairly treated since his return from a disastrous WorldSBK campaign alongside Josh Brookes on the difficult BMW S1000RR and says that the GP15 he has now is one that really suits him.
“There were many people saying bad things about me, but since I sat on that bike for the first time in Valencia, I felt really good. Every time we went out, it was a bit better,” said Abraham.
“Of course it is a nice feeling. In the past seasons the package we had was just not competitive enough, and even though I was trying really hard we were struggling a lot with the results.
“This is a track that fits me really well, so it’s a place where it’s easier for me to make a nice result. Hopefully it proves my place in MotoGP is still there.”
