Sterilgarda Husqvarna’s John McPhee is hoping to end the first part of the Moto3 season ‘on a high’ with a strong result at Assen this weekend.
A fan of the ‘flowing’ TT Circuit, McPhee is aiming to put a disappointing Sachsenring race day behind him - which saw the Scot miss out on points having mounted a determined comeback from back of the pack after avoiding an opening corner collision.
The Dutch track has seen McPhee secure a podium in 2017 and run in the top six on the last two visits so he's hoping for more of the same this time out, before the five-week summer break.
“It's nice to be straight into another race weekend here in Assen,” McPhee said from Holland. “The fast flowing track suits my style and I’m really looking forward to getting started.
“The weather can always play it’s part at this track so we will be ready for all conditions too. After this race we have the summer break so it would be nice to finish this first half on a high.”
