Blusens Aprilia's Scott Redding emerged with only a bruised arm after crashing in today's first MotoGP 125cc free practice session at Phillip Island when the youngster got tangled up with Stefan Bradl.
Redding had completed 14 laps before the crash and ended the session in 22nd place, some three seconds off the pace of fastest man Pol Espargaro but said that he has already got a good feeling for his Aprilia RSA.
“Throughout the first session I was feeling much better with the bike, until I crashed, when Bradl touched the front wheel of my bike," said Redding.
For me it was a very short session, I only managed a few laps, but on the positive side the bike was going a lot better than on previous weekends, and we tried a different setup with the suspension that seemed to be working. I took a bump on the arm and the finger, but there's no damage and I'm OK."
