MotoGP bosses kill off claiming rule for 2014

MotoGP bosses have today killed off the engine claiming rule for 2014 which means that no teams will be able to use it to buy a rival's engine.

The rule, which has yet to be utilised, also dies immediately for teams that are currently using the Magneti Marelli spec-ECU so everyone on the non-MSMA (extra engines, fuel) rules will now be using the control electronics - a far more effective way of separating the privateer and factory teams.
