LCR Honda's Randy De Puniet will race at the Brno MotoGP round this weekend despite breaking his ankle in a motocross crash after the last round at Donington Park.

De Puniet has undergone surgery and intensive physiotherapy which has enabled him to have a lot movement in the ankle. He will be wanting to repeat his debut podium at the Czech Republic track.

“Immediately after the surgery I was discouraged and thought I wouldn’t be able to race in Brno. But thanks to the rehabilitation programme my ankle is improving day by day," said the Frenchman.

"I can easily move it and I will be fit for the race. Brno is one of my favourite tracks and the good results we gained in the first part of the season give us the confidence and the incentive to keep running at the front.”
