MotoGP Brno: WorldSBK not an option for Redding

Britain’s Scott Redding would rather stay at home than switch from MotoGP to WorldSBK because he says racing there on something uncompetitive would ‘ruin his career’.

The Pramac Ducati man is vying for his seat amid rumours that Jack Miller could replace him, the two doing a straight swap with Redding going back to MarcVDS but he said that staying in MotoGP is the only real option as Superbikes is not.

“I know personally, in my own opinion, I don't want to go to Superbike. At this moment I don’t want that and to go with a bike that is not capable of winning the championship. I think it's better that I stay at home because it would ruin my whole career,” said Redding, speaking at Brno.

"So I'm fighting to try and stay in this paddock because I believe I have the ability to show some good results. I don’t doubt that. I work hard enough for it. I know I've got the talent, but it's just trying to get a bit of luck on my side. And that's it.

"I just have to wait and let a few other people decide what they want to do. I'm on the back foot and can only wait. That’s the shit thing. Either way, I need to try and show my potential during the second half of the season. There's nothing else I can do really."
