Moto3 front-runner Tony Arbolino will move into Moto2 with the Liqui Moly Intact GP team, it has been announced this morning.

Arbolino has been in the tiddler class for three years and is considered a title challenger in 2020 as he sits third in the points table.

“I am very pleased to announce the news that next year I will enter the Moto2 category with this incredible team,” said Arbolino.

“I am really happy because I feel that the team really wanted me. I am very motivated to show my skills as a rider. I am very proud of the steps I have taken so far, even though the Moto3 season is still long.

“I can’t wait to try the Moto2 bike and I will do my best for one of the most competitive teams in the world championship.”

It is believed that incumbent Tom Luthi is moving to replace Remy Gardner in the SAG squad next season.
