British 125GP star Bradley Smith may have to miss tomorrow's Barcelona race after a massive high-side in qualifying this lunchtime.
The Oxfordshire teenager was sitting in seventh pace and looking for another front-row start when he fell from his Polaris World Aprilia with five minutes of the session left. He managed to save the high-side but his bike carried on across the gravel trap with Bradley hanging on.
He eventually had to bail out and tumbled after his bike, which re-bounded off the air fence and hit him. As soon as we know how he is, we will let you know.
Scott Redding will start from the front row of the grid tomorrow after securing fourth place, just half a second slower than poleman Pol Espargaro. Danny Webb finished in 20th.
Smith's former team-mate Esteve Rabat is in Barcelona Hospital's intensive care unit after a crash yesterday. He is undergoing a raft of tests including MRI and CAT scans. He is under sedation.
