MotoGP Estoril: Edwards confirms broken collarbone after crash

NGM Forward MotoGP CRT rider has confirmed he suffered a broken left collarbone in the collision with Randy De Puniet's errant Aspar bike during qualifying at Estoril this afternoon and he has decided to travel to Spain to get it repaired.

Edwards was offline and out of the way when the Frenchman lost the front on the entry to the first left-hander. His bike skidded across the track and skittled Edwards who had no idea what was going on.

Wife Alyssia Tweeted: "Just spoke to Colin. In a lot of pain. Colin is going to have his shoulder operated on in Spain by the same doc that did his right collarbone. He was amazing! Think it's the best option! Thanks to all of you and your sweet thoughts!"
