Pramac Ducati have re-signed Finnish rider Mika Kallio for the 2010 MotoGP season but there is no news of a second rider, which can only be good for James Toseland's hopes of a seat with the team.
Kallio had been standing in for Casey Stoner in the factory Marlboro Ducati team during the Aussie's enforced breaking from racing, but now he has returned Kallio is back with the satellite outfit.
"Now that we have agreed for next season we can exclusively concentrate to do our job on track. I am very happy to be able to continue with the Pramac Racing Team, Paolo Campinoti and Ducati to give continuity to this project," said Kallio.
"This season is going in a positive direction with high and low point, but considering that it is my rookie season it's normal: we confide to be able to improve together next year.
"This weekend we will compete in Estoril, not one of my favorite tracks, but where I made it to conquer interesting results: last year in 250cc I concluded in third position while in 125cc I made it to step on every single step of the podium."
