Britain’s Moto2 star Sam Lowes tried a new chassis in his Speed Up in the second free practice session at the Sachsenring but will go back to his original tomorrow.
The Derby-based rider was fastest in the opening session and then tried the new chassis, which is a little less, stiff and although he was quick using it, it threw up a couple of small problems.
“It is positive the team were able to being a new chassis and it is also positive that first time out and the first laps it turned in were less than one tenth from the best time of the day,” said Lowes, speaking to bikesportnews.com.
“But we won’t use it tomorrow as is gave us a few problems that we didn’t have in the morning but it is positive work from the team.”
