MarcVDS Moto2 series leader Scott Redding pinged himself to the top of the Moto2 free practice timesheets right at the end of the session and headed off a challenge from veteran Alex de Angelis with only a minute remaining.
The Gloucestershire rider took top spot with a 1'25.152 to go in front of title challenger Pol Espargaro by 0.166s but then De Angelis, on the Forward Racing machine, slipped between the two with a 1'25.286.
Only 1.1s covered the gap between Redding in top spot and Danny Kent down in 21st but he has wildcard Gino Rea one place in front of him but only 0.063s faster. Kyle Smith is 1.5s off the pace in 27th .
