MotoGP Germany: Setup mistake costs Rossi

Factory Yamaha's Valentino Rossi wasn't perfectly happy with his third place at today's Sachsenring MotoGP round as a mistake with his race setup didn't allow him to fight with Marc Marquez for the win.

Rossi had to back out of the fight for victory, and then had to give best to Cal Crutchlow as the British rider came through to bag second place even with his various injuries.

"Being on the podium is always great but I am not fully happy because I expect to do a better race. Especially during the practice I feel more confident but I think we make some mistake on the setup of the bike but yesterday after the practice we had to find a way for go faster," said Rossi, speaking at the Sachsenring.

"It was also difficult to manage the tyres. This morning in warm up was not fantastic as I start to have some problem but we decide anyway to race like this. Marc arrive, I try to go with him and stay close for seven laps on a good pace but after I start to slide and I have to slow down.

"I don't give up but Marc go and then I have to fight with Cal who did a fantastic job in the second part of the race. He has a good rhythm and was a lot, a lot faster than me so I couldn't stay with him for fight for the second position. We have to try next week to do a better job."
