Cal Crutchlow's Monster Yamaha boss Herve Poncharal is sure the British rider will be back on his satellite YZR-M1 in the morning after two crashes today in MotoGP free practice at the Sachsenring.
Crutchlow tipped off at turn one in the first session and then lost the front through the fast turn 11 at the top of the waterfall in session two which left him with a cut hand, burns and bruised legs.
"It is mainly superficial injuries. His right hand is bruised, burned and a little bit cut. There were some small pieces of gravel in the right hand. They had to remove those, which was a little bit painful but the medical people said there is no problem for riding," said team boss Herve Poncharal, speaking at the Sachsenring.
"He also has some burns on his right arm and bruising on the two legs. He has to go back to the medical centre in the morning to be 100 per cent checked. When you remember what happened at the last race with Jorge, Cal is a guy of that calibre and I have no doubt he will carry on the weekend.
"It is a pity it was two crashes in two sessions, which is a 100 per cent score, which is not what we wanted but unfortunately this is sometimes happening."
