MotoGP Indy: Crutchlow to make 2013 decision this week

Britain's Cal Crutchlow expects to make a decision on his MotoGP future this week and is hopeful he will be able to make an announcement at next weekend's Brno round.

The Coventry man is angry that Ducati have strung him along for fourth months and then given the second Desmosedici seat to current team-mate Andrea Dovizioso - but the Italian is insisting he still has not signed a contract with the Bologna factory.

"I'm not going to be riding the Ducati next year, that is clear. I've been told a million things, I've been told the president will be calling me, but I can guarantee he won't be. It has happened like that for four months. At the end of the day, they have made their choice," said Crutchlow, speaking to bikesportnews.com this evening.

"I was angry and I'm disappointed at the way it has been handled but if I wasn't their choice, they should have told me a long time ago instead of dragging me through the mill, dragging Herve through the mill becsuse they were calling him and saying, 'We are going to sign Cal'.

"So I told Herve a month ago I wasn't going to sign for him and now I've had to come back crawling. Well, not crawling but Herve always said I had the first pick and I still have the first pick and last week he was still saying that.

"I have some options here, I want to stay with Yamaha and in MotoGP and I can do that but we need to come to some sort of agreement that we are all happy with because, at the end of the day, I have to make a living out of this sport. This is my job and when you're racing against guy who are on 50 times your wages, it's a tough one, so I need to look at it in that sense as well.

"I'm not going to get a factory bike at Yamaha, that is clear but I will get their support and they want to keep me, which is nice. I have a very big backer in Carmelo (Ezpeleta, Dorna boss) and he wants to keep me in the championship.

"I expect to be here in the championship, I have got three options and hopefully I will have an answer tomorrow and we can announce something at Brno."
