Factory Yamaha's Valentino Rossi experimented with two bikes in MotoGP free practice yesterday to try eradicate braking instability and front-end push he has experienced in a couple of places.
The Doctor ended the day in sixth place and just over half a second off the pace but said that now he has made a decision on the direction in which to take his setting, he can move forward.
"Today I have two different bikes for try and improve braking and entry and make a different comparison. In the end we decide the way so we will concentrate on that bike, try to fix some problem, some understeer, a bit too much pushing on the front, especially in two, three entry that are very difficult," said Rossi, speaking at Indianapolis.
"Anyway, I am quite happy. Not happy about the sixth position but I am half a second from the pole position and I reduce my gap from Marquez and also from Lorenzo so it's not so far. We have to fix some areas and take a step."
