MOTOGP INDY: WE DON'T HAVE THE PACE - ROSSI

Fiat Yamaha's Valentino Rossi has admitted that he doesn't have the pace to stay with team-mate Jorge Lorenzo and MotoGP Indianapolis polesitter Dani Pedrosa ahead of this afternoon's race in America.

The Doctor is thankful he is on the front row as he says he can't ride his YZR-M1 how he wants to as grip issues are stopping the multiple world champion pushing to the edge.

“We’re on the front row and this is important but honestly we don’t have enough pace at the moment and I can’t ride how I want to. We don’t have quite enough grip to enable us to push at the maximum," said Rossi.

"We did a lot of work this afternoon but we’re still not at our best and so now we all need to work to find a way to make another step. We have the warm-up still to use and we will try to be competitive for the race.”
