Factory Ducati test rider Michele Pirro will take Ben Spies' place in the Pramac team this weekend and use development parts over the course of the Jerez MotoGP race weekend.

The Italian will take part in his first wildcard of the year and evaluate new parts and settings which are scedukled to move to the race team for the Le Mans round in a couple of weeks' time.

"In addition to Nicky Hayden, who started last year’s race on the first row, and Andrea Dovizioso, we’ll have the test team, with our test rider Michele Pirro, who’ll be doing his first wildcard race. His GP13 will have some new development parts that will help us to focus on the development for the rest of the championship," said team manager Vito Guareschi.
