MotoGP Jerez: Stoner brands new tyre allocation 'ridiculous'

Repsol Honda's Casey Stoner has branded the allocation of two new-spec front Bridgestone tyres for the whole of the Jerez MotoGP weekend as ridiculous and says he doesn't see the point of it.

The reigning world champion has already tested the softer compound hoop and found it not only doesn't solve any of his chatter issues, it makes the 1000cc RC213V more unstable in braking and corner entry areas.

"We've only got two. You can't test this during a race weekend and leave one for Sunday, a quantity of two is just ridiculous. There's no point in having one to test and one to race with. You're going to need more than that. It's definitely not going to help our issues, we've already tested this tyre and it doesn't help at all. In fact, we found out it was less stable on the braking point and the entry point so we don't really know what to do with this tyre," said Stoner.
