MOTOGP JEREZ TEST: ANOTHER BIG CRASH FOR TOSELAND

Monster Yamaha's James Toseland has been given cautionary medical checks following another massive highside during the BMW M Award timed practice session this afternoon.

The session was red-flagged after Toseland's crash just 15 minutes from the end. The former World Superbike Champion was stretchered off the track and taken to the Clinica Mobila. He is thought to have suffered just heavy bruising and a sprained ankle but has been taken to hospital in Cadiz for a scan. He was later given the all-clear by doctors and returned to the Jerez paddock later this evening.

"I am obviously delighted that James is going to be fit for the first race after another big crash today. It is a real pity for him because he was really looking like his old self this weekend after the crash in Sepang and making some big progress with the bike and the tyres," said team boss Herve Poncharal.
