Jake Dixon had another weekend to forget at Le Mans on Sunday after crashing his Inde GasGas Aspar out of the Moto2 race.
Starting from the second row a poor start saw Dixon attempting to recover from the back of the top ten. Running eighth after four laps, Raccordement caught the Brit out with his race over before it had really begun.
Returning to the track, he continued to circulate in a bid to gather data ahead of the upcoming double back-to back GP’s, but crossed the finish line outside of the points.
“Another difficult day,” Dixon admitted from France. “My mistake; I just entered the corner too fast.
“I’m not riding like I know and I’m making errors. Once I get back on, and the bike is all bent, I’m still able to make the pace like the leaders.
“I’m going to try so hard now between here and Mugello to feel less nervous on track and in those race situations. If I can work on my first part of the race then I can build-up towards the front again.”
