Elf Marc VDS Racing’s Sam Lowes will not compete in the Moto2 French GP at Le Mans after being declared unfit.

Lowes crashed out and was struck by his Kalex machine after a heavy high-side at turn eight during Saturday’s qualifying while running provisional pole. His 1’36.071 time already set worthy of fourth, to head the second row, by the close of play.

The Brit was again running fourth in Sunday’s morning warm-up but was later declared unfit for the 25-lap race after suffering from neck pain and dizziness.
