MotoGP Le Mans: New chassis works for Edwards

NGM Forward MotoGP CRT star Colin Edwards is well pleased with the new evolution of the FTR frame he is using at this weekend's Le Mans round, spending most of yesterday in test mode.

The former double World Superbike Champion looked for more trail in order to get extra confidence in the front end to try and push hard, finishing yesterday's second practice 18th overall.

"It was an eventful day with the new evolution swing arm, a lot of things to try. In the first session we pretty much figured out the new FTR chassis was definitely better. It was mainly a big test day, trying all different things and we came up with an idea that somehow we need to induce more trail into the bike," said Edwards.

"I feel like I'm kind of waiting on the front when I get in the corner instead of being 100 per cent confident and forcing it in, I'm kind of waiting on it. We've got some ideas, it should be good."
