MotoGP Le Mans: Redding buoyed by testing performance

MarcVDS Moto2 front-runner Scott Redding has bounced back from his disappointment at Estoril with a positive two-day test at Navarra and now believes he is back in a podium-challenging position.

A bad tyre choice let him down in Portugal after a front-row start should have seen him at the sharp end but that, allied to a throttle problem, saw him slip down the order and passed by fellow Brit Bradley Snith.

"We didn't get the result we were looking for last time out in Estoril, but that was mainly down to going with the wrong tyre for the race. It's something we need to think about this weekend at Le Mans, where the racing is likely to be even closer because of the characteristics of the track. We had a good two days testing at Navarra, where we definitely made some improvements to the bike, so I'm pretty confident we can bounce back with a good result this weekend in France," said the recently-shorn youngster.
