Marc Marquez did not have the start to his Indonesian GP race day he’d have wanted after the Repsol Honda rider suffered a massive highside in morning warm up.
His fourth crash of the weekend at the all-new Mandalika International Street Circuit saw the eight-time World Champion launched at high speed from his RC213V at turn seven, with the Spaniard seen walking away from the eye-watering crash.
Precautionary checks at the on-site medical centre were followed up by a trip to Mataram hospital for further examination with his participation in Sunday’s shortened 20-lap race later withdrawn due to a head concussion.
