Ducati Lenovo’s Pecco Bagnaia has been given a three-place grid penalty for Sunday’s San Marino GP
The title challenger, who has won the last three MotoGP races, was hit with the penalty following Friday’s first practice session at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli after ‘riding slow on the racing line in FP1 and causing a dangerous situation for other riders’ - namely LCR Honda’s Alex Marquez.
Bagnaia will therefore line up no higher than the second row for Sunday’s 27-lap race.
