Inde GasGas Aspar’s Jake Dixon had a weekend to forget at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli after crashing out of the Moto2 race.
Forced to start from the back of row six, in 18th, after a crash on his first flying lap of Q2 on Saturday afternoon, the record repeated on race day. Just two corners into the 25-lap race saw the Brit hit the deck with hopes of his fourth consecutive podium disappearing in the dust.
"It wasn't a great day,” Dixon admitted on Sunday afternoon. “We weren't able to finish the race and it's not ideal.
“After three podiums we could have fought for something else.
“We have to think about the Aragon race, it will be better there.”
