Ducati's Andrea Dovizioso continued this afternoon where he left off this morning, topping the Friday timesheets with a 0.160s advantage over team-mate Jorge Lorenzo, with Britain's Cal Crutchlow in third place.
Dovizioso set a 1'32.198 on his 20th lap using soft Michelins all round to try and secure a Q2 space should the forecast rain appear tomorrow morning and Lorenzo used the same tyre combination to bag a Ducati one-two.
Crutchlow was fractions slower than Lorenzo to cement his third place and finished 0.026s ahead of Movistar Yamaha's Maverick Vinales.
It was a better session for team-mate Valentino Rossi as he managed to claw his way into eighth place but the local hero is struggling for pace as he ended six-tenths in arrears.
Reigning champion Marc Marquez shot to the top of the sheets with his third lap of the session on a soft rear, setting a 1'32.537 but then stayed out on the same tyre. His time was enough to keep him in fifth place and one ahead of Danilo Petrucci, who set a 1'32.777.
Ecstar Suzuki's Alex Rins hopped into the top ten late with a 1'32.775 and his time at that point pushed Rossi out of the top ten but The Doctor survived to one place ahead of Andrea Iannone, who had to rely on his FP1 time after crashing on an out lap.
Franco Morbidelli completed the top ten with Johann Zarco in in 11th and Dani Pedrosa in 12th place. Michele Pirro and Alvaro Bautista were next along while Jack Miller was the biggest loser of the day as a crash saw him slip to 15th for the day.
