Inde GasGas Aspar’s Jake Dixon is set for the San Marino MotoGP at Misano World Circuit with his debut Moto2 victory still in his sights.
With home talent Mattia Pasini returning to the team for a wildcard this weekend, round 14 will prove a busy event for the Aspar outfit. Three consecutive podiums for Dixon have demonstrated the Brit’s strong run of form in recent races with his maiden Moto2 win the determined next step.
“Every day we are closer to victory,” Dixon said from Italy. “We have three podiums in a row, although it has always been in third position, and in Misano we will try again.
“In Austria we showed that we didn't give up until the end, I tried until the last corner, and I know that, if it wasn't for the bike going neutral at the beginning, I could have fought for an even bigger goal. This weekend we have a new opportunity.”
