Nicky Hayden is remaining cagey over rumours that he last night signed a deal to join the the Power Electronics Aprilia team run by Jorge Aspar Martinez in MotoGP next season.
Hayden admitted yesterday he had been to the Noale factory and that he has met with Aspar and his team but insists nothing has been made official between the two parties.
"It's getting really close, nothing official yet, still working on a few things but we're getting pretty close. I am not sure when we will have it all nailed down. (Aspar) is not a done deal yet but as I said I went there a week ago and was really impressed," said Hayden, speaking at Misano.
"I have met with Aspar and all those guys and I do really like their professionalism. They are focused on racing and I have a good thing going with them."
