Britain's Cal Crutchlow has given a frank opinion of his performance in today's opening MotoGP free practice sessions, saying he is riding shit and hasn't felt fast since the Sachsenring round.
The Monster Yamaha man ended tenth on the timesheet today and one second off the pace of quickest man Marc Marquez but says there are no excuses and it is down to him to find some confidence.
"I'm riding shit, simple as that. I have no excuse. I am not going to sit here and fill you full of we need this, we need that, I went faster last year on probably a worse bike. I don't have the new gearbox but that's not the difference for being that far off," said Crutchlow, speaking at Misano.
"We have a few problems but mainly it is confidence turning the bike in. I don't have too bad grip, in the front it's shit but nearly everyone has nearly crashed so there isn't that much grip out there. I wasn't prepared to crash. I rode around at finished tenth.
"I need five good laps and my confidence will be fine but at the minute I can't do one lap. At the end of the day, I am not willing to crash, well not today, tomorrow's different. I'm not fast and I don't know why. The last time I felt fast was at Sachsenring, the rest have been a disaster."
