PBM Aprilia's Michael Laverty is relishing the chance to get back on the ART frame he last used at the Sepang MotoGP test at the start of the year to see how far it has progressed in the hands of former team-mate Yonny Hernandez.
Laverty has campaigned the GPMS-built chassis and swingarm while Hernandez, who has moved to be Ben Spies' replacement at Ignite Ducati, has ridden the Aprilia frame but in tomorrow's test at Misano he will jump back on it.
"I am really looking forward to getting back on the ART to see how far it has progressed since I last rode in at Sepang and how it compares to the bike I have been on all year," said Laverty, speaking to bikesportnews.com this evening.
"I think that if I am faster on it, then I will be able to ride it for the rest of the year while Yonny's replacement, whoever that is, will ride my bike."
