British 125GP riders Scott Redding and Bradley Smith have qualified on the provisional front row for Sunday's Misano MotoGP support race after this afternoon's first qualifying practice..

Redding took second place just over one tenth of a second behind the Hungarian while Smith was sitting pretty in third until Mike Di Meglio demoted him a place with one minute to go.

Redding was already in second but sealed his position with a 1'44.339 lap with his very last circuit.

Britain's other 125cc man Danny Webb ended the session in 17th.
