MotoGP Motegi: Dixon ‘needs to avoid mistakes’

Aspar’s Jake Dixon is eyeing a successful return to Japan this weekend after a heartbreaking recent run of form in Moto2.

Three consecutive podium celebrations for the Inde GasGas Aspar rider gave way to two DNF’s as the European season drew to a close with Dixon hoping the flyaway races can reignite his previous success streak.

While his previous visit to Motegi came during his rookie season in the intermediate class, the Brit has fond memories and is hoping the experience, against many who have yet to visit the 4.8km circuit, will prove profitable this time out.

“It's the first time at Motegi since 2019,” Dixon confirmed. “The Asian part of the calendar has always gone pretty well for me in past seasons.
