Reigning MotoGP World Champion Jorge Lorenzo has admitted it looks unlikely that Yamaha will allow him to test with his new Ducati team at Jerez before his contract runs out.
The Movistar Yamaha man has been given vocal permission to ride the Desmosedici at Valencia after the 2016 season finale but it looks like that could be it until December 31.
"Well obviously I would like to make the Jerez test, but it is not a thing that depends on myself. For the moment, looks like I will test in Valencia - even if I'm still to receive authorisation to do it. Looks like for Jerez, Yamaha is not so keen to permit that,” said Lorenzo, speaking at Motegi.
"We'll see what happens. I think that for the years we've spent together, I deserve it and for the things we've won together. But obviously it doesn't depend on myself and I will respect whatever decision Yamaha will make, because I am a Yamaha rider."
