MotoGP Mugello: Dixon expecting 'tricky' weekend

Britain's Jake Dixon is expecting a 'tricky' time at this weekend's Mugello MotoGP round as he has has only ridden at the Italian track once before.

Dixon races Moto2 there in in 2019, and unfortunately crashed out, but although he will be going into this round with less local knowledge than normal, he is eager to get back riding at the unique circuit and aim for a better result this time round.

"I’ve only been to Mugello once, so I haven’t done that many laps there. It’s a hard track as well, especially as you approach Turn 1 from the crest on the start finish straight as you can’t actually see the corner," said the Petronas rider.

"It’s a scary moment, but so fun as well. I think it could be a tricky weekend, as I don’t have that much knowledge, but we will have to see what we can do when we’re there. Hopefully we can make some improvements and achieve some better results. I don’t have any targets for this next race, I think we just need to get there and give it our best."
