For the third time in the 2025 MotoGP season, Marc Marquez was victorious in the main race. The Spaniard pulled off a masterclass in the Qatar Grand Prix and controlled the race from the front in the latter laps.

Francesco Bagnaia was the favourite heading into the race weekend. However, the Italian had a horrible Saturday but returned to a second-place finish on Sunday.

Franco Morbidelli led in the early stages of the races, but as his tyres began to wear, he fell down the order. The Italian ended up crossing the line in third place on the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team Ducati.

Johann Zarco claimed his first top-five finish in a Grand Prix this season. The French rider was challenging Morbidelli in the latter laps but finished in fourth place on his LCR Honda.

The BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP Team missed out on the top five but finished in fifth and sixth. Fermin Aldeguer beat his teammate and finished fifth, and Alex Marquez's run of second places came to an end as he finished in sixth.

The top Yamaha rider was Fabio Quartararo, who started from the front row of the grid. However, in the race, he did not have the pace to match the riders ahead of him, and he dropped back to seventh.

The Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team managed to get a rider into the top ten as Pedro Acosta finished the Qatar Grand Prix in eighth.

The best Aprilia rider was Marco Bezzecchi, who crossed the line in ninth, 14.368 seconds behind Marc Marquez.

Maverick Vinales originally crossed the line in second place but was demoted to 14th due to a tyre pressure penalty. This penalty as promoted Luca Marini into the top ten at the Qatar Grand Prix.
