Movistar Yamaha’s Jorge Lorenzo has dismissed team-mate Valentino Rossi’s outbursts at the Sepang MotoGP round yesterday as mind-games.
The Doctor made repeated accusations in the pre-event press conference and afterwards that Marc Marquez was trying to prevent him winning a tenth world title by playing games and supporting Lorenzo at Phillip Island (click here for story).
But Lorenzo believes it is just a strategy and maybe not a very good one.
“I think it could be a strategy for him, knowing that with his speed he could have some troubles in the championship so he want to influence other rides, accusing Marc to play a little bit on the race. We have some memory and this is what he was doing some years ago. Maybe it wasn’t the best strategy for him to follow this time,” said Lorenzo, speaking after free practice today.
