One of Alex Rins’ Ecstar Suzuki GSX-RRs has been gutted by fire in Sepang’s pitlane today.

The fire broke out after fuel spilled on to a hot exhaust and it was heavily damaged despite the best effort of the Suzuki crew and marshals.

Rins' squad will now have to build a new version so the young Spaniard has two bikes to use in this weekend’s MotoGP clash.
