Monster Yamaha team boss Herve Poncharal will more than likely draft in Michael van der Mark for the Valencia MotoGP finale after saying that a return for Jonas Folger is ‘unlikely but possible.

The aimiable Frenchman has van der Mark in his team for the Sepang round while Folger is still laid low at home in Germany with suspected Epstein Barr virus.

“With this type of thing, doctors say that full rest is required and we don’t want him to come back early and make it worse, so a return in Valencia is unlikely but possible,” said Poncharhal, speaking at Sepang.
