Gresini’s Enea Bastianini started 2022 on a high before a rollercoaster season saw him drop to fifth in the MotoGP standings.
With multiple mistakes impeding his impeccable early form, the Italian is eager to get back to winning ways as the second half kicks off at Silverstone for the British Grand Prix.
Bastianini was just adrift of the top ten at the Northamptonshire circuit on his rookie visit last season, but with three premier class victories already under his belt in 2022, he’s aiming to bounce back at the front as the action resumes this weekend.
“We’re finally back in action!” Bastianini commented excitedly. “The break has been very useful to reset and look back at the mistakes made in the first part of the season.
“I really like Silverstone and I really want to get a good result, so we can return to our best form.
“Our season has been a bit of a rollercoaster right now, so we want to be more consistent from now on.”
