Britain's Danny Kent has signed a new deal with the Tech3 Moto2 team and will remain with the Herve Poncharal-run squad until the end of next year.

Kent, who was fifth in this morning's final free practice session, has grown in confidence with the Mistral bike and should score a big bag of points at Silverstone tomorrow.

“I am really happy that I have reached an agreement with Herve and the Tech3 Racing Team to continue with the exciting Mistral 610 project for next year. It has not been an easy switch to Moto2 but I think that is a reflection on how tough the Championship is and how big the step is from Moto3," said Poncharal.

"The Tech3 Racing Team has given me great support throughout and in the last couple of races I have been able to make some big progress that fills me with a lot of confidence for the rest of the season. I will keep learning this year and hope to be a regular top 10 finisher before building on the experienced gained in 2013 to have a really strong 2014 and show how competitive the Mistral 610 package is.”
