MotoGP Valencia: Dixon feels Moto2 'podium or win could be possible'

Britain's Jake Dixon is bouncing with confidence after two good finishes at the last brace of Moto2 races and feels that a podium could be possible at the Valencia MotoGP round.

Valencia is another circuit that Dixon has only ridden at once before, but the Brit enjoyed a successful Grand Prix at the Spanish circuit last year, earning one of his best race results of 2019 – 13th.

Hoping to maintain his recent good form, the Petronas rider will be aiming to continue his run of good results at the final three rounds of the year.

"I spent the week between races in Spain, so as not to lose any opportunity to train. I think Valencia is a good track for me, I’ve only been there once before but I really like it and I had a good race at the circuit last year; it was one of my best results of the 2019 season," aid Dixon.

"Although I’ve been close to being on the podium, and even winning, I’m not putting any pressure on myself to do so at the moment. Our aim is just to keep getting better with each race, which I feel like we are doing.

"Of course, I do really want to achieve that podium finish, and a win, because I feel like it could be possible, but we’ll see what happens."
