KTM’s Pol Espargaro will start Sunday’s Valencia MotoGP from pitlane after going over his engine allocation.
Espargaro had a tenth engine bolted into his bike during second free practice which takes him over the limit for manufacturers with concessions.
The standard penalty is to start the race from pit lane with a five-second delay from the time the pit-lane exit would normally open.
Espargaro will do a sighting lap and go to the grid, but will then enter the pit-lane on the warm up lap and start the race from pit-lane.
