Marc Marquez’ brother Alex has said the former MotoGP champion is encouraged and seeing positives after a third surgery on the arm he broke at Jerez.

Marquez Snr had broke plate in his humerus replaced and underwent a course of anti-biotics to stop an infection in the bone.

“Marc is fine, every day he’s more encouraged,” said Marquez Jnr.

“It was a long operation and the first days he was a bit convalescent, but now he is getting better and better.

“He’s encouraged and seeing the positive things, which is what he lacked in this last period.”
